Voukoder not appearing on Davinci Resolve studio 18

  • Hello, I have Davinci Resolve Studio 18 on both my laptop and my new pc. Voukoder installed just fine on my laptop back when I was using that to edit but it never showed up on my pc after installing it. I went into the C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support tab, created the IOPlugins folder, and put the voukoder_plugin.dvcp file in the newly created folder, and yet voukoder still doesn't show up on my export options. There's another folder simply named "plugins" instead of "ioplugins" so I attempted to put the file into that folder as well and it still didn't work. Seemingly all of the potential solutions I found on here aren't working in my specific case. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

    You can try the update.

Voukoder is not even mentioned in the logs, so it doesnt even attempt to load it.

I still assume somethings wrong with the file path. Can you try to copy and paste this path (to check if there is no typo) and see if it shows the plugin folder?

    C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\IOPlugins

I don't have any clue otherwise. You might want to ask in the BM support forum.

  • Strangely enough, updating Davinci solved the whole problem. lol The plugin is working perfectly now! I'm still not sure what caused the issue but hey if it works then I won't question it. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated!

  • Hello,

I just had the same issue with installing voukoder. But I found a technical documentation in my DaVinci Resolve 18.6.6 installation that shows detailed information about structure and installing of plugins.

The .bundle file can be copied manually into this place

After (re)starting Davinci, voukoder is shown in the Export Video drop down list.

    direct path to documentation: C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Developer\CodecPlugin

OR open via DaVinci and select "CodecPlugin"

    Hope this helps.
