I think if you put the DONATE button on the main page it would be easier for us to support you. Blender has done amazing things with donations and I think I could be good for you too.

How the hell do you only have 16 patrons?! Voukoder is an essential part of my workflow, which would completely fall apart without it! Adobe's h264/h265 encoders absolutely suck, for a while I was rendering out into an intermediate format and then feeding it into ffmpeg. Those were not good days.
It's disappointing that Patreon isn't working out. It's sort of a rule, if I'm using a tool commercially, I pay for it. Voukoder & OBS are the two I can't live without.
I really don't see a clear way to "sell" the program without something bad happening. While gating some features into a trialware model, that sort of sucks from an end-user point. You'd have to gate something really important to push people into a purchase, and that just sort of breeds resentment. Like you say, you really can't go closed-source because of the terrifying licensing fees, but if it remains GPL, some jackass will "fork" a free version somewhere.
It sounds like you've got some ideas, I hope we're all able to work something out so we get a great tool, and we pay your rent!

If I'd have enough patreons / sponsors I'd totally go open source with VoukoderPro, and I'd not have to think about monetization, license verifications, windows store api integrations and all of that. Even x264/x265 would be free to me. Now I have to negotiate the license costs.

I thank you for all your time and effort, truly appreciated.
I have a feeling if you add a .M2V extension for DaVinci Resolve studio to go straight to DVD Architect that lots of us still use, and that way no re-Render is required, it'll create more interest and probably more supporting clients, and I would be one of those.
Now I'm talking not knowing if that's possible or not or what's involved for this idea 
but that's what I really hope for
I'll look at it to add an MPEG2 encoder / muxer.

btw. my experience in the previous post in regards to the Audio only with DR was based on the classic version of Voukoder, but I gave the Pro version a try, it's a game changer, it does have the ability to export audio only and it's amazing. with the .M2V option I'll be one of those who'd purchase it if it's going to be affordable, and that got me to give my opinion as well about that, if you make it affordable maybe $10 or so, you still can consider it free as you have in mind -by the way, God blesses people like you who thinks that way- because truly if I can afford it while I'm NOT working means everyone can, and this way you'd get thousands of us paying for it, and for $10 still considered free and available to everyone as you intended it to be.

This is good news. And you should release more donation platforms, because many Voukoder users can't use Patreon or Paypal (For example, Chinese users).
You can find ways to provide Alipay and WeChat payment QR codes to receive donations from users in China. This will enable them to complete a donation for you within 5 seconds.

Would ".AVC" possible? easier to achieve? because this format is also supported by DVD Architect without re-encoding.
