With which host/NLE do you mainly use voukoder? 74

    1. Adobe Premiere (19) 26%
    2. Adobe AfterEffects (3) 4%
    3. DaVince Resolve Studio (28) 38%
    4. VEGAS Pro (23) 31%
    5. Other (name it) (1) 1%

The topic speaks for itself I guess. :saint:

  • Voted Premiere but I'm considering switching to Resolve in the future if they can get all of the features I need. Primarily, I need an HDR preview in Windows, but also, their replacement for After Effects' Content Aware Fill doesn't appear to handle more difficult scenarios as well as AE does. If they end up doing both things as good or better than Premiere/AE in the future, I may be able to finally switch and downgrade my Adobe subscription to Photoshop only.

  • What does my response to someone else have to do with you Joe24 ?

I was not talking to you!

I was addressing Jorge Luis on using old software, which of course will ultimately lead to errors and limitations when used in conjunction with newer technology and modern coding.

If he wants to use old software, "ultimately" that's none of your business. I also use Vegas 12 for some things, despite owning 15 and 20. Newer is not necessarily better, and 20 is actually a real PITA for some things. Neither of us owe you an explanation of our rationale for using "old" software. Nor do the other people whom you've attempted to 'convert' in the other forums. Mind your own business.

  • Thanks both for your response 😊 Old is gold guys! I hate supscription base model (I hate they want to force us to that business model) my old software works for me and voukoder help me with newer formats and stuff. I also have vegas 20 but I don't know why I prefer Vegas 12... guess the UI feels different. Thanks for both comments anyways 🙂

  • Premiere cs6 and Vegas 12?.... Why on earth are you still using those exceedingly old tools with countless limitations in this day and age?.... I am all for using tools that work even if they are a bit dated, But you cant go back too far or you gonna limit yourself !

If I show you what amazing things I'm doing with them you won't believe me 😊 I got friends that got the latest and greatest but they can't do the things I do with the tools they have 😁

  • VegasPro. Been using it from VV3 through to VP21, that's like 23 years. Each iteration has produced more and more tools. I want more from the Voukoder BETA for VegasPro21 than I can currently get. Vouk remains stunningly fast!

  • Around 22 Years for me Grazie, its amazing how far Vegas Pro has come, especially as to what's now available in version 21. Used all other major NLE's over the years, but Vegas just simply works best for me. Voukoder is simply incredible and super fast and one of the best addons to an NLE/Compositor right now....... Overtime, i hope with the new Voukoder Pro, far more advanced rendering features and formats can gradually be added.

  • Interesting how much interest there is from VEGAS Pro users, though it makes sense as Voukoder really complements and expands the render formats available within that software.

That's why I'm using it with VEGAS as well!

  • I use Vegas because I've been using it casually since 2008 and I don't want to learn a new program for my meager use.

I use Voukoder because the Frameserver plugin for Vegas became pay-to-use, which is fine I guess but not for my use.

I think the most important thing for Vegas Pro users is that Voukoder renders directly to the final file, and if user cancels the render, Voukoder cancels immediately. Instead of Vegas Pro renderer, which now has a freaky habit of creating a huge, unnecessary and useless intermediate temp file first, from which the whole data is transferred to final file, what lengthens the whole procedure by 5 minutes per every 10 GB after the end of actual rendering; and the same thing goes on even if the render was cancelled.8o
