How to Export GIFs with Transparency in Voukoder?

    Greetings to the community!

    I've been using the Voukoder application and I'm really impressed with its ability to export GIFs. However, I've been having trouble trying to export GIFs with transparency or alpha channel (Magix Vegas). It seems like the transparency feature is not active in the export options.

    Could someone provide some guidance on how to enable the export of GIFs with transparency in Voukoder? I've gone through the settings and haven't found a specific option for it.

    I appreciate any advice or suggestions you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hat das Thema freigeschaltet.

    I've never worked with GIFs, but for transparency renders you'll need to start with the YUVA template in Vegas -> Render As -> VoukoderPro. Then link your desired Scene and save the template as whatever name you want.

    It's one of the 3 default templates that come with VoukoderPro. Start with this template, link your desired Scene to it (Customize Template . . .), and rename it to your liking.

    I don't know if it will solve your GIF issues, but that's how you export transparency (alpha).

    I'm not sure this is possible at all. The pixel format (rgb8) supplied to the gif encoder does not contain an alpha channel.

GIF encoder AVOptions:
  -gifflags          <flags>      E..V....... set GIF flags (default offsetting+transdiff)
     offsetting                   E..V....... enable picture offsetting
     transdiff                    E..V....... enable transparency detection between frames
  -gifimage          <boolean>    E..V....... enable encoding only images per frame (default false)
  -global_palette    <boolean>    E..V....... write a palette to the global gif header where feasible (default true)

    Haven't found it yet. Vegas Pro 20, Voukoder 13.0.2. So far I've tried:

    • Muting the master audio bus.
    • Muting all individual audio tracks.
    • Deleting all audio tracks.
    • Options -> Mute All Audio.


    No worries, I'll just use VoukoderPro.
