How can I tell that Voukoder is working with DaVinci Resolve?

  • Hello,

I'd like to use Voukoder to get around the Windows 10 bug on DaVinci Resolve that locks in exported audio quality to a maximum of 187 kbps. I'm trying to get it to 320 kbps like my source audio file.

I followed the instructions for installing Voukoder as well as the DaVinci Resolve plugin.

After downloading the DaVinci plugin, I unzipped the file and dropped the voukoder_plugin.dvcp.bundle folder (contents: \voukoder_plugin.dvcp.bundle\Contents\Win64\voukoder_plugin.dvcp) into the following directory:

    C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\IOPlugins

I had to create the IOPlugins folder in "Support".

I restarted my computer and tried to export my video again as an MP4 using the H.265 codec. In the "Audio" tab, the only available codec is AAC. I set "Track Data Rate" to 320 kbps, but the resulting file is still only 187 kbps.

Yes, I am using the premium version of DaVinci Resolve.

I've not touched the main Voukoder application. Is there something I need to do within the application, or DaVinci Resolve, that I've missed?

    Thank you.

It should look like this if Voukoder (Both the main Voukoder app and the DVRS connector) is successfully installed:

Note: You need to configure all settings (codecs, formats, ...) through Voukoder (Configure Voukoder ...)!
