That is intentional.
Voukoder R2 will only show containers that are suitable/working for the selected codecs. In Voukoder 1 wrong muxer / codec combination resulted in an error message.
HEU : H264 and AC3 is a valid combination for export in MP4, and voukoder force MKV !
I use it every time in Premiere up to version CC2017 (idem MP4-H265-AC3)

Mp4 is only partially compatible with Ac3. But you should care, because in the past I had trouble with some players playing that kind of file.
Look here https://encodingwissen.de/hintergrund/fo…/container/#fn8
I work with H264 and AC3 exported in MP4 container, within Premiere, since CS5 version (with Minnetonka pluging for AC3), after with standard AC3 support from Adobe for AC3 up to CC2017.
(AC3 removed in CC2018)
If this will no longer be provided by voukoder, i will not use this plugin in the future, as my multimedia reader (TVIX), as many others, does not accept MKV.
Olivier
Can you just open your eyes and take a look at the screenshots above? AC-3 is supported with mp4! If you can not see it please don't use voukoder anymore!
Daniel
Where is the problem? You can select this in voukoder.
NOT i my R2 beta 2 version
Olivier
You are not using beta2. You are using beta1. Otherwise you would not see the "Update" section.
Thank you for your return.
In recent times I modified many times the voukoder plugin version in Premiere, to see the compatible minimum version of the Nvidia drivers.
This should be indicated somewhere (release notes).
I thought I had re-installed the latest version for this test, but obviously this is not the case.
Previously, the availability of an update was indicated directly in Premiere, so I did not pay attention.
Olivier
Me too, I don't understand why it's now impossible to use H264 and mp3 in a mp4 container with R2_beta5 ; Only mkv is provided.
It worked well with Voukoder V1.
I checked, it's described as compatible on this page wikipedia :
MP3 is not officially supported in an MP4 container, but as it still works i have added this option again.
Thank you,
I forgot to mention that it's the same with mp4 and H265 / mp3.
Do you have sources of information about this "no-compatibility" between MP4 and MP3 ? I'm interested to learn more.
I was reading this on wikipedia for years that only ac-3 and aac are supported. But ...
ZitatAlso MPEG-4 Part 3 audio objects, such as Audio Lossless Coding (ALS), Scalable Lossless Coding (SLS), MP3, MPEG-1 Audio Layer II (MP2), MPEG-1 Audio Layer I (MP1), CELP, HVXC (speech), TwinVQ, Text To Speech Interface (TTSI) and Structured Audio Orchestra Language (SAOL)
... I might have been wrong. Strange.
dear,
Where ican change the CBF value in this version R2 ?
