Would it be possible to implement a 7.1 audio export for EAC3, TrueHD.

First I'd like to know how I could set up 7.1 audio with Premiere, AfterFX or Vegas? Didn't know this is possible.

Vouk... I would not know exactly, and maybe what I should have said is 8 channel audio or multichannel in general? You can setup multichannel audio beyond 5.1 in Premiere. I have never done it! But I know at least in theory it's possible, and that would be cool if we had that option for Voukoder. Mapping tracks to correct channels for conforming output... IDK.

I don't think Premiere natively supports 7.1. I wish it did. Don't know about the others.

I have had success creating H264 M2TS files with 7.1 audio with the TMPGenc plugin. It's a little tricky, but here is the process.
First you create a sequence with 8 channels of audio. Unlike creating a 5.1 sequence, you can't specify the L, R, C, etc. channels de novo this way. In fact you can never specify which channel is which. You just have to know what the encoder "wants." I self-named these tracks of course 'cause I know that's what TMPGenc wants. I make an 8 channel sequence, 4 standard L/R audio tracks. The Master is 8 channel. So you can lay things out and rename the tracks like this. What you name them doesn't matter of course it's just from experience I know these tracks will be output in the encoder this way.

Now that you have Davinci conquered, can we re-visit 7.1.
Davinci supports 7.1 audio tracks.Would be nice if it could be output as 7.1 EAC3 or PCM or FLAC perhaps. I haven't tried setting up a 7.1 audio bus in Davinci and exporting in a 7.1-possible format. What would happen?
Also, if you choose PCM 24 bit as an voukoder option, why do you still have to set Davinci audio as 16 bit? If you choose 24 bit it crashes/will not export.
* oops I will post in Davinci -

Currently Voukoder only supports Mono, Stereo and 5.1. These are basically hardcoded options in there. In the Voukoder successor I plan to also allow completely custom channel configurations.
Yes, thats nasty. I already asked BM how to request floating point audio data always and then Voukoder creates the requried sampleformat by itself. No reply so far.
