It sounds good... But how can I capture video with this? I'm affraid it's impossible.
POLL: What program you'd like to have a connector for?

The thing is ... Voukoder needs uncompressed input.

Yes, you can ban the input from MJPEG webcam sources with an error message.
The big deal are the DSLRs & Camcorder sources. Content creators don't use webcams with MJPEG or h264 input.
So if you ban MJPEG and h264 source videos with error message, the problem is solved.

Hi Vouk!
Interestingly, FFMPEG somehow could hande the input from my old MJPEG based 1080p HP webcam in OBS, so it means somehow FFMPEG is compatible with some compressed inputs....
But as I said, you can apply a simple error message window, if the source is not uncompressed. That is the easiest way.
I'm waiting for the new version of Virtualdub connector.
When will you release the version which can capture videos in Virtualdub?
10000X thanks for that!

Voukoder for Adobe Audition 2020. (editing Dolby, DTS & Bink Audio tracks & export it to Premiere Pro)

Daniel, it's funny to ask, but do you develop an export HEIF plug-in or whatever you call it for Photoshop? because currently after many years still Photoshop doesn't support it!

DaVinci Resolve 17 has now an "open plugin SDK toolkit for encoder developers"

It's been a long way. I'll look into it.
Edit: Looks like it only supports custom video encoders and not a muxed output.

Sorry for my missing knowledge.
I guess you can't even get some basic x264 support going or something then since your method needs muxed output for sound and such?
Or to ask in a different way: What does their Custom Encoder support allow for in general then?

In fact the example provided with Resolve 17 beta 1 IS actually an x264 encoder. On the first sight it seems they provide raw video data and you can feed the encoded frames back to resolve so it can mux it with the audio streams.
I just spent a couple of minutes looking at it but i didn't notice any audio related functions there.

Personally, not being restricted to the limited options they give you but having custom x264 settings would already be a big plus in my book.
It's a shame that a full set up like in Vegas or Premiere might not be possible, but better than nothing provided the work isn't too much.
Thanks for the heads up.

For what it's worth, here's my input on the matter:
I personally never really export a finished clip from Resolve, but only use the option for individual clips to export a grade, the Online is then done somewhere else.
But even for this, it would help tremendously to have custom options (like Prores and others on Windows). So, just my two cents on the matterDanke Dir herzlich für die viele Arbeit

Can I also install Voukoder in Photodex ProShow Producer 9.0.3797 ?
Can I do this on my own?
P.S Sometimes it takes too long to export slides, although the i9 is 9900K ...

Do you know if there is a public export SDK for AVID available?

Hi
Thank you so much for the reply, yes of course, here is:
Avid Media Access (AMA)
Avid Media Access (AMA) is a plug-in architecture that allows users to link to and write back (export) common media formats and popular interchange formats, like MXF OP1a, AS-11, AS-02, MOV, and MP4, that are not supported natively within Avid environments. This architecture eliminates the need to convert to Avid native formats, e.g., from XDCAM EX MP4 into Avid OPAtom carrying XDCAM EX, so that users can link to acquisition formats and associated metadata for immediate viewing and editing. The architecture also allows for write back/export to popular delivery formats. By creating AMA plug-ins, developers can enable rich workflows with custom media file formats and associated metadata within Avid environments.

So, did you succeed?

Thank you so much for reply & don't forget that Media Composer is Hollywood standard & you help Hollywood a lot if you port Voukoder to Avid products!
