Will Voukoder be ready for Vegas Pro 18?

I saw Vegas Pro 18 is about to be launched. Do you expect Voukoder will support it from day 1 or do we have to wait? I plan to get it.

Yes, as the interface has changed I will add a new VEGAS 18+ connector.

No, I had difficulties with the SDK and I am in contact with Magix on soving these.

Hey Vouk..... Yeah, i have only seen one thing not working properly:

The rendering process is sluggish, and Whenever it finally reaches 99%, it hangs, meaning it just sits their for a very looooooong time

before the render is completed. The connector is fine, so the issue derives from the new beta Voukoder-6rc1, as

i have removed it and tried the older voukoder-4.1 version and have now seen no issues whatsoever.

I made a small change to that connector. It supports now the new color settings, too.

The new connector seems to work fine with VP 18 and Voukoder 5. I didn't try 6rc yet.

Dumb question but if I have 4K footage and project but want to render HD is there a way to do that with Voukoder? I am not seeing an obvious setting.

Do you mean HDR?

Currently the connector only delivers YUV 4:2:0 (8 Bit). I also go YUV 4:2:0 (10 Bit) working on my dev system. But we'd need at least 4:2:2 (10 Bit). The pixel format mapping is a bit tricky.

With what encoder(s) / settings / muxer is it that slow?

I meant changing resolution from 4K to 2K (HD). 1920x1080. I don't see where you can specify output resolution, whereas with the Vegas Magix AVC formats you can easily type in a preferred resolution and frame rate.

Are you supposed to change the project size? Or use the zscale output filter?

Exactly. You can either change the project size. Voukoder takes all data from your projects properties. Or you can scale with a voukoder filter.
