What I mean in the title is that the hardware encoders are (reported by taskmanager) using video decode... but why? Used to work.
I don't know why it all of a sudden stopped working
Edit: using either x265 or HEVC give the same result, no CPU usage and no video encode on the GPU, only video decode
Video Decode is necessary because your source clips are most likely compressed (=encoded). The NLE needs to uncompress it first, then does its thing with effects, cuts, and color corrections and sends it back to voukoder.
Depending on the source format and frame size this can take a while so encoding might get really slow.
