Does not export using original footage when using Proxies in Premire Pro

  • Hello,

i am testing this and it works however it encodes the proxies and not original files.

I am using built in proxy workflow on premiere and confirm that output uses the proxy file not the highres original.

I am check this also by viewing the preview image in the Export Settings in premiere. When i choose h264 it shows high res image, when i switch to vookoder it shows proxy image.

Maybe a known issue but i post just in case.

    thanks

    /J

  • EDIT: I think it has been fixed - I downloaded connector 1.8.0 and it worked as expected so that's great!

I also experienced this just now. Proxies were enabled on the Program monitor. But not ticked in the export window, which means it should use the original media without having to remember to un-toggle the proxies button, as per normal H.264 export from Premiere.

My version is from a few months back, has this bug been fixed since?

    Windows 10 Pro

    Premiere 14.9.0

    Voukoder 8

    Connector 1.7.0

  • A proxy is used to replace an element in the video sequence when exporting a file for some time during editing. It is often a version of an existing element of the video sequence, but with a low resolution or as a still image. Quite often, images from a storyboard are used as proxies. You can use a proxy https://soax.com/911-proxy-socks before the final version of the video sequence is available, or if there is a real video sequence element, to speed up previewing or rendering test movies. To use a proxy, you must have a file available.
