GPU load only 10%

    I don't understand what the problem is.

    Why does the GPU load only 10%?

    I coding in Adobe Media Encoder 2020 (14.6)

    Windows 10 x64

    Intel Xeon E5-2678 v3

    GeForce GTX 1060 WINDFORCE 3G

    Nvidia Driver 457.30 Studio

    Input video without effects (Fujifilm, 4096x2160, 24fps, MPEG-4, AVC, 4:2:0, 8bit, 200Mb/s) 01m:13s

    Output video 4096x2160, 24fps, Voukoder 7, H.264 (NVIDIA NVENC) default settings.

    Encoding without filters and downsampling.

    The duration of the video is 1 minute 13 seconds.

    Encoding time 2 minutes 26 seconds.

    CPU load 20-30%

    GPU load 5-15%

    I tried it with and without GPU acceleration.

    Tried different settings.

    When encoding without a Voukoder with the usual codec H.264, the encoding time is 3 minutes 11 seconds, the load of the GPU and the processor is the same.

    when encoding in After Effects and Premier, the speed is even less.

    This is asked quite often and you'll find some answers in the existing threads:

    TL;DR: Voukoder is only handeling the encoding part of the export. If Premiere is slow with rendering each frame before it's sending it to the encoder voukoder can't improve it.

    Premiere already needs ~80ms to render (vRender) a frame (decompressing the sources, filters, effects, ...). That limits the export to 12.5 fps. The GPU is pretty much ideling because it is waiting for frames from premiere.
