Can a language tag for the audio track of MKV be added? I believe the option already exists for mp4 renders?

Correction
Bad news
On a Quadro machine with latest Quadro NVIDIA drivers (517.4), NVENC options are gone in 12beta6
-
The problem is fixed with latest Nvidia driver and 12beta6,thank you!
-
I will check this evening and report back!
-
Please try if version 12beta6 fixes this issue.
Looks like NVENC options are gone in this beta?

In Davinci, side data (min luminance) is "buggy." Most times I can not get the number to change. I definitely can not set it to 0.001. When I try to set 0.001, it always snaps to 0.002 as soon as I click out of the box.

In Davinci, one can not turn off the video option and still have Voukoder be selectable as an output option. Video export check box must be checked to have Voukoder active. There is an "audio only" option output in Davinci, but Voukoder doesn't show up in the option list if that is attempted.
In Premiere or Media Encoder, one can turn off video and export audio-only MKVs for example.
Could audio-only MP4, MKV, etc, be an option in Davinci?

To help with the Voukoder successor I made a donation

First I'd like to know how I could set up 7.1 audio with Premiere, AfterFX or Vegas? Didn't know this is possible.
Now that you have Davinci conquered, can we re-visit 7.1.
Davinci supports 7.1 audio tracks.Would be nice if it could be output as 7.1 EAC3 or PCM or FLAC perhaps. I haven't tried setting up a 7.1 audio bus in Davinci and exporting in a 7.1-possible format. What would happen?
Also, if you choose PCM 24 bit as an voukoder option, why do you still have to set Davinci audio as 16 bit? If you choose 24 bit it crashes/will not export.
* oops I will post in Davinci -

This is the correct solution to the problem

Vouk I posted as question in Bug Report but maybe here is better. I am noticing my AC3, EAC3 exports as 32 bit. This is probably not good, although the files seem to bitstream ok to a receiver. Wondering if/how to make them the more standard 16 bit. Thanks.
-
Also I am noticing when I export EAC3 it exports 32 bit audio (but 48kHz which is good/OK). Any way to change this to 16 bit.

Please check:
1) Encoding DTS >1536kbps produces tracks with no audible output. Not surprising 'cause I think this is about the DTS limit.
2) When I make EAC3's over about 1000k, or any TrueHD, a lot of players I have show problems with playing the files (they crash, hang, freeze, etc). MPC in Windows can play the files OK. Just other players can't, and maybe don't like decoding them IDK. If you don't see any obvious problems, maybe there's none... i.e. maybe it goes back on FFmpeg. -
I have had success creating H264 M2TS files with 7.1 audio with the TMPGenc plugin. It's a little tricky, but here is the process.
First you create a sequence with 8 channels of audio. Unlike creating a 5.1 sequence, you can't specify the L, R, C, etc. channels de novo this way. In fact you can never specify which channel is which. You just have to know what the encoder "wants." I self-named these tracks of course 'cause I know that's what TMPGenc wants. I make an 8 channel sequence, 4 standard L/R audio tracks. The Master is 8 channel. So you can lay things out and rename the tracks like this. What you name them doesn't matter of course it's just from experience I know these tracks will be output in the encoder this way.

This is the output file:

Option for 24bit TrueHD. Right now, it only outputs 16 bit. 24 bit is a little more common. And it sounds better

MKV (and I guess mp4 too) can have chapters. In Premiere you can add chapter markers.
-
I agree with that
Will you be working on having Voukoder write different metadata settingsI am not sure this is "essential" but, technically, this is a "non-conforming" output it seems
-
I am using AC3 renders almost exclusively, and 5.1 the majority of time. It will be a 5.1 source that's AC3, or EAC3, and I will render it as EAC3 or AC3 using Vouk. Usually 5.1 sources rendered as 5.1, but sometimes 2.0 sources rendered as 2.0 AC3 or EAC3. Either way, playback is louder than the original. Playback will be either in MPC in Windows, or direct bitstream by a client (usually a Roku or a Shield or occasionally a Windows PC) into an AC3 or EAC3 capable audio receiver or TV. As we have show previously though, the actual "data" of the rendered track is perfect and matches the original in every way. It's some sort of "metadata" that is telling the playback device(s) to boost the audio up. And as I have stated previously, the SurCode software puts out AC3 and EAC3 renders that when played back match the original's loudness characteristics. In Premiere, you generally have to output only in MP4 containers using SurCode.
The mono issue is weird but I have not done much mono work and have no complaints there (for now lol).
EDIT: will also add our default -4.5/-6 dB levels for channels in options do not match the default values in SurCode.
