Do you plan to implement VFW or directshow version of Voukoder? Again, they work well not only in avi output container, but VFW and directshow codecs can work nice in mp4 mkv ts/mts flv etc.. other container formats too.

The FFmpeg is so buggy (and dumb) for HW encoding, that's why it was cancelled by Staxrip and Hybrid transcoders among their HW encoding options, and they replaced it with Rigaya's encoder engines. FFMPEG did not know the internal transcoding option, when both the decoding and encoding data were processed internally within the videocard. It makes transcoding much faster in a comparison with FFMPEG traditional transcoding when the process goes trough the CPU & system memory etc... .

IIRC VfW works that you provide a "Codec" that can be be used in an AVI container while Voukoder writes any other but AVI output.

VFW and Directshow codecs can be use in all output container formats, not just in avi. Most NLE softwares proves that. For example: VFW versions x264 and x265 can be used in mp4 mkv flv , MTS M2TS output containers.

It is not necessary to develop these connectors. Since most NLE and Capture softwares could use external vfw codecs. VFW-Voukoder would be the solution.

Can you develop a VfW version of Voukoder? Most of the professonal NLE editors and all video capture related softwares use VFW codecs. So if you develop a vfw Voucoder, you don't need to create and develop and maintain the lot of "connetors" for various products. It would be a revolutionalry (UNIVERSAL SOLUTION) step forward!

Try to install the old codec pack ffdshow_rev4533_20140929_clsid_x64 to you computer, and the Virtual dub Vouk version will collapse.

The ffdsho has no problem with any other software, it has no problem with virtualdub normal version. It collapse only the virtualdub Voukoder version. What is the reason of that collapse if ffdshow is installed?

MY other problem: I can not use Voukoder for HW recording in video capture mode in Virtualdub2.

Let's not forget, that Rigaya's NVENC is a state of art HW encoder since its very beginnings. It is de-facto the only encoder which uses all known encoding features/options of an Nvidia card. FFMPEG have much fewer options. Rigaya also incorporated most of the Avisynth features too, He also transformed most of the Avisynth options to be Cuda accelerated. It is also much more stable software than the buggy FFMPEG version of NVENC

The best solution would be a new type of connector, a VFW based encoder with the same options like other connectors. It would be a break-through!

Voucodec is not compatible with Virtualdub2 anymore, when I go to compression panel , the Virtualdub2 crashes immediatelly.

Can you make a new working release for Virtualdub2 ?

Especially the lossless NVENC HEVC would be very interesting feature for video editors, because it is the only lossless codec which has HW accelerated playback by the Nvidia cards. (At least the Potplayer play the lossless Hevc with HW acceleration if you use its internal codecs.)
